Zoom Events is a great way to learn, collaborate, and connect virtually. In the past, it hasn’t been possible to run virtual networking events within the platform.
Today, that changes.
We are excited to announce that twine will now provide live networking experiences right within Zoom Events.
(want to get started? Install twine for Zoom now!)
What is twine? twine makes it easy for Zoom hosts to create connection by enabling advanced breakout rooms and speed networking.
During any Meeting-based event, Zoom Events customers can now enable a twine speed-networking session that is seamless and customizable. With the click of a button, our algorithm matches attendees for timed, back-to-back Breakout conversations based on the networking interests of the attendees.
Speakers can be matched with participants, buyers can be matched with sellers, HR execs can be matched with CEOs… the matchmaking opportunities are endless.
Create an event & set the date and time. Then, indicate that your event type will be a “Meeting.”
Share your link to invite attendees.
Participants register for the event and join when it’s time to begin.
Hosts can choose between multiple options for their networking event:
Map Mode: In Map Mode, hosts set up a variety of “tables” based on set conversation topics and labeled accordingly. Participants can then navigate to whichever themed table they would like to be a part of. If they’d like to chat about “Growth Strategies,” for example, they simply click to join that table. They will automatically be redirected to the appropriate Breakout Room.
Tag Based or A/B Matching Mode: In this mode, the host creates various “tags” for users to self-identify from. For example, a participant can mark that they are an HR exec looking to meet with a Growth Stage CEO. Our algorithm then sorts participants into back-to-back Breakout conversations that reflect these interests.
If a participant is unable to install the app due to IT restrictions, they can still participate! Just tell the participant to log out, and they will no longer be restricted.
In Map Mode, participants can navigate to whichever themed table they would like to be a part of. If they’d like to chat about “Growth Strategies,” for example, they simply click to join that table. They will automatically be redirected to the appropriate Breakout Room and can move in and out as they please.
In tag-based or A/B matching mode, participants mark who they are and select what kind of person they are interested in meeting with. Participants will be matched back to back with their desired match categories for roulette-style Breakout conversations.
Send messages in or outside of your breakout rooms, and don’t worry about losing messages once the meeting is over; any conversation attendees have on twine for Zoom will be there for the participant when they reopen the app.
Zoom Events are a great way to connect participants from anywhere in the world. Now, instead of scrambling to contact other participants after the event, you can start networking right within your event.
With the addition of twine for Zoom for networking, every Zoom Events user can now be matched for meaningful, back-to-back conversations without leaving their living room.
Try it out in your next Zoom Event!
PS: twine for Zoom works in regular meetings, too! Check it out.
